Thomas C. Katsouleas
Thomas C. Katsouleas is the Executive Vice President and Provost of the University of Virginia. He is also a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Physics at UVA. Provost Katsouleas served as dean of the Pratt School of Engineering and professor of electrical and computer engineering at Duke University from 2008–2015.He earned a B.S. in 1979 and a Ph.D. in physics in 1984, both from UCLA. His scholarship is on plasmas, particle accelerators and light sources, and he has authored or co-authored more than 200 publications and given more than 50 major invited talks. He is co-chair of the National Academy of Engineering Advisory Committee on Grand Challenges.
